Effective Date: May 2, 2026
Welcome to Cruse Control. By using our mobile application or website (located at crusecontrol.app), you agree to be bound by the following terms.
1. Description of Service
Cruse Control is a driving log application designed to help permit drivers track supervised driving hours. Key features include:
- Real-time session tracking with a built-in timer.
- Manual logging of environmental conditions (night, rain, snow).
- State-specific progress tracking against licensing requirements.
- The ability to export driving history as CSV or PDF files.
2. User Accounts and Authentication
To access certain features, such as automatic data syncing across devices, you may be required to sign in using a third-party provider (e.g., Sign in with Google).
- Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- Data Syncing: Your data is synced automatically across authorized devices when you are signed in.
- Authorized Domains: All authentication requests are processed through our secure domain, crusecontrol.app.
3. User Data and Privacy
Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
- Data Accuracy: You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the driving hours and conditions you log. Cruse Control provides tools for tracking but does not verify the legal validity of your logs for DMV purposes.
- Data Security: We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including secure cloud storage and encrypted connections. However, no cloud service can guarantee against all forms of data loss, outage, or service interruption.
- Your Backup Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining your own copies of your driving logs. We strongly encourage you to periodically export your history using the built-in CSV or PDF export feature and save those files in a location you control. Do not rely solely on Cruse Control as the only record of your supervised driving hours.
4. Prohibited Conduct
By using Cruse Control, you agree not to:
- Use automated scripts or bots to generate "ghost trips" or fraudulent log entries.
- Attempt to interfere with the app's security features, including our reCAPTCHA Enterprise protections.
- Modify, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the application.
5. State Requirements and Compliance
Cruse Control provides information regarding driving hour requirements for all 50 US states.
- Informational Purposes: These requirements are provided for reference only. While we strive to keep this data up-to-date, it is your responsibility to verify current licensing laws with your local DMV or equivalent state authority.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
Cruse Control is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free or that the data provided will always meet the specific evidentiary requirements of every state's licensing board.
